Click the down arrow in the search box at the front and select manage search engines. You can set your default and delete what you do not want and add others you might want to use.

    Hi

A side post but Bing is much more powerful than Google, Google is now full of chaff and junk whereas Bing and search engines such as Clusty are much more accurate, maybe just me but I do not subscribe to the Google thing!

but to do what you need you just need to follow plodrs great post above, but all I'm saying is dont subcribe to the hearsay and bull on the net about running the like of Bing, its great to have alternative search engines and I use Bing in Firefox's Alpha test version of Minefield, works great.

I think vze335 may be talking about added search toolbars. If so try looking in Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and look for each Bing and Alot and see if they are available for uninstall.

Firefox has a safe-mode start up icon in it's folder. Use that and it will ask you if you want to reset all your plugins and stuff to default.

It probably came with either an upgrade to IE8 or Windows Live. I'd look at the Windows Live installer for a removal tool.

If you just want to fix firefox, load firefox and in the address bar type:

    about:config

This will bring up the firefox configuration screen. After agreeing to be careful, find the filter bar at the top of the screen and type in it:

    keyword.URL

Double-click on this entry and change the text from Bing's site to:

    Code:
    http://www.google.com/webhp?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
or alternatively (different versions of firefox used differing URLs):

    Code:
    http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky&q=
Say goodbye to bing forever. Do a couple test searches to make sure google is your default search engine again.

I still think we have to determine if we are talking about default search engine or a toolbar. Do you actually have an extra toolbar across the top of the browser for these search engines are they simply the default search engine when you type in the search box?

If it is an added toolbar like in the corner of the first pic on this page then try the instructions to remove the addon. http://www.alot.com/toolbar/uninstall
