Browsers are Disabled IE6/7 and FF2

At this point I am frustrated, I have tried 'safe' mode and still not able to get the neede? software to install or run correctly.

This started several weeks ago, I was able to disable the Malware, and get the PC usable. It has not been able to use either Browser. This seems to be an internal problem as the error of 'site not found' is almost instantanious.

After the first bout of cleaning, the XP home connected and downloaded and updated thru the windows update system, This updated IE6 to IE7.. still no internet.

Today after a reboot from 'safe' and attempts to use the suggested software, It indicated another update was ready, so what the heck, I let it do its thing.. downloaded 'SP3' and installed it... all automatically... This seems to say XP can call home, BUT
still no browser will work.

The USB D-Link shows good internet, and signal, on My home wireless LAN, but a will not connect. (it used to connect fine)

Still NO browser will connect to the internet.

HELP PLEASE
