BSOD... aaaaahhhhhh

Here is my issue with as much detail as I can provide:
I am running WIN XP SP3, w/3GB ram, VOSTRO 1710 notebook, core2duo processor and I have Norton Security Suite running.

the only time I get the BSOD is when I load one of the CDs that I burned. I have used "several" CDs in the process of reinstalling software on my system with no issues.

1. The BSOD only occurs when I load a CD that I recently burned & I've learned that it happens every time I load one of the recently burned CDs.
2. I get the following error codes when the BS comes up:
STOP: 19; (0X884 008F8; 0X884 00919; 0X1A0 3001)
3. I booted in safe mode and the the same CDs open w/out issue & I tried

ADDITIONAL INFO:
I recently (past 10 days) reformatted my HD because it was running "extremely" slow. I installed new/RAM yesterday which improved performance. The RAM is the same as what I had before with the exception that I installed 2 2GB sticks vs a 1 & 2GB sticks.

I did notice a drag in performance with 1 program, Avery Design Pro5 which I use for making CD covers.

I also reviewed the event viewer and I have A LOT of error & warning messages under the applications tab ranging from event 1000, 1002, 3013, 10005, 11335 to name a few.

I also have error messages under the system tab of the Event Viewer.

 

Your problem might have to do with upper and lower filters, but since you just installed ram, I would first test it to see if you have any bad ram.

Use a program called Memtest 86+ to test your RAM. Get it from here:
http://www.memtest.org/download/4.10/memtest86+-4.10.iso.zip

You will have to extract the .ISO file from the .ZIP archive. Then burn the .ISO to a CD. Then boot from the CD and the test will run automatically.
