I get the BSOD at the start-up. I'm working on a friends Dell laptop, Inspiron 6000. Windows xp. Here is the code of what I'm getting.

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

Will not start up in safe mode or any other start option.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Thanks, but I already read that. I can't even get to anything to start the process. I can't do the steps they require. I can't even start in safe mode. It stops at the blue screen whichever start-up mode I choose. I think the OS needs reloaded but was hoping for a better solution.

    Thanks,
    Jeff
