Hello! I've had several issues lately with BSOD Bad_Pool_Header/caller and I've read it often relates to driver issues so I hope some of you could help me out! I don't know if my computer's specs are relevant but I've decided to add them. The error occurs every time I turn on the computer, though if I let it reboot it starts without the error. Also when I shut down the computer for the night and Turn it on next day, only the first time I'll get the error! It is all strange to me, help please!

    8gb Ram
3.4 GHZ AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Processor
    64 bit Windows 7
Graphics card: Ati Raedon HD 4800 series.

also, I've added a .zip containing a minidump file which might help.
    Thanks in advance![

    Hi

If you boot into Safe Mode (F8 at boot) do yo uget the same issue?

ntkrnlmp.exe errors could mean a number of things, try the below

    1. Reinstall your graphic card drivers as they are one of the culprits at times, and only use drivers from ATI and not any custom drivers.

    2. Test your RAM out and test one stick at a time Memtest then if all ok, boot your PC with only two stick of ram in and see if it works ok, if so add more.

    3. In device manager do you have any yellow ! marks by any devices if so what?

    4. Are you overclocking your GPU if so set it back to stock.

    5. What are your system temps like, can use Speedfan for this HERE

    6. Could reset CMOS (your bios) and before you do this jot down any custom settinsg in the BIOS menus that are set now, then turn off PC and take out the motherboard battery for 10mins then clean from finger grease and replace then boot to the BIOS and enter your settings again and Save and Exit to reboot

First of all, thank you very much for the response!
Ok, I will try doing every step while for now I can only answer some of them:
3 - No, I see none yellow ! marks anywhere in the Device Manager.
4 - No, my computer is not overclocked.
5 - My fan speeds are excessive I'd say, or I guess my fans are simply of poor quality. Ever since I've had this computer I've also had this exact BSOD problem along with insane noise coming from the fans. Though using Speedfan I manage to decrease the noise a lot. Though my computer will shutdown if I lower the fans to 60% or lower while I play games. But otherwise I'd say my temperatures are good 30-40 when performing minor tasks, and at least 60+ during gaming.

Ok, as I tried entering Safe Mode something strange happens...
as it starts loading all drivers it stops all of a sudden at CLASSPNP.sys and freezes 5 seconds after. (Attached Photo)

    Hi

Did you build this PC personally or was it a built one for you? was it an OEM one as in DELL, HP etc if so what model?

Check in your BIOS that Plug n Play is set to YES, its likely under PCI PnP setting menu, but may need to look through them all.

While in the BIOS check to see if a setting called APIC support or just APIC is set and let me know as this may need to be disabled.

Personally with the classpnp.sys error hang, I would be more inclinded to do a full re-install of Windows 7 as something likely is corrupt, but first try chkdsk /r from an elevated command (CMD) prompt once you get the PC to start OK, as the HDD may have errored sectors or corrupt files.

The pc was built for me, all I know is that it says 'Gigabyte' Powered, I don't really know much else about it.

    Hi

To give us some idea of the hardware used in your PC follow the below as written.

But do check out the other options and settings I mentioned as well and feedback, dont re-install yet but that maybe an option as I fear APIC is set and not always a great option to install windows with.

As it was built for you do you have any warranty with the PC as it maybe worth getting the system builder to check out your issues.

Ok, sorry but I was unable to locate any info you mentioned in the bios. But I got the info from the software:

    Hi

Have you installed any new software and more so security software just before this happened?

At the Start menu in the Start Search box type msconfig and hit enter, then choose the startup tab and disable all items then reboot, is your PC ok now?

As with you mentioning no yellow ! marks in Device Manager its notlikely to be a pure driver issue but maybe a 3rd party so called driver that gets installed by a antivirus/firewall, but whats more worrying is you cannot access Safe Mode ok....

Did you try the chkdsk /r option and if so what did it reveal?
Do test your RAM, and if your not happy going into the insides of your PC then have a friend whos fine with building PCs (or the original supplier) check your ram out.

Personally in the end I would be inclinded to save off all inportant files, data, images, docs and settings and re-install Windows if you have the original Windows DVD for Win7 x64.

No I have not installed any recent software
I'll probably have friend over to look at the ram or looking inside the computer that is though as that would compromise my warranty. Nonetheless I'll back up my files as suggested.
The chkdsk /r command didn't do much, it told me that it would start disk checking at next boot because the volume was already in use and as it did the check it went through clean, though it doesn't seem to have prevented or found anything. I will have a look at the msconfig settings. Thank you!

Ok, the removal of start up items in msconfig didn't fix it but this time I got the BSOD "IRQL Not less or Equal."
