Hi, I got a popup from AVG that said that a trojan was detected and it appeared t quarantine it. Shortly thereafter I got BSOD with a stacked buffer overflow. Windows 7 tries to system repair but fails. So I restart in safe mode to run AVG and it identifies agent r_.xj but midway through the scan I get the BSOD. Next restart I go download TDSSkiller as per http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=228558. Run it and I get an error message followed by BSOD. Subsequent restarts have resulted in BSOD shortly after I reach the desktop and before I can run anything.
I have tried all the safe modes and the only one that doesn't do this is command prompt although I don't know how to do anything useful on it. So, any ideas on how to fix this, or at least stave off the BSOD to try to fix it? Thanks in advance.

I suggest you post in the software forum to rectify your BSOD issues before we can attempt to clean your system. Make sure to include the error messages in your post. Once you have the system running, come back to this thread and we will look at the logs that you will attach per the READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide
