    Hello!

My Name is Christoph and I am encountering a massive Problem, that i wasn't able to solve. I hope that there is somebody out there who is able and willing to help me. :)

My mother visited me last Sunday afternoon and said, that her Notebook (Lenovo B570) is not going to boot any more. Ok, I thought, that might be solved in a quick.

She said that she tried to (Hardkey-) shut down the Notebook while booting (After Restart) into Win 7 after Installing Windows Updates. :eek

When trying to Boot into Windows7 (same in Safe Mode) right before the Windows Log In Splash Screen should appear (After the Starting Windows Screen/Animation/Logo disappears) a BSOD appears telling:

STOP: c0000135 The program can't start because %hs is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Then I tried to do a System Startup Repair (System Recovery Options from the Advanced Boot Options & from DVD). But it Fails with:
    Code:
[B]Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically.

    Details:
    Problem Signature:

    Problem Signature 03: unknown
    Problem Signature 04: 21200190

    Problem Signature 07: NoRootCause
    OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
    Locale ID: 1031[/B]
After trying this several times, I tried to do a System Recovery but it Fails too. This is given as Description.

    Code:
    [B]"rstrui.exe
The instruction 0xfc46584d refers to Memory 0x00000008.
The Process couldn't be completed in the Memory.
Click OK to finish this Action."[/B]
After that I used "Hiren's Boot CD 14.x" (MiniXP) and found out that she tried to save her "Users" Folder on an other Partition (C->D) :eek:boxing
I copied the files back, and tried the methods above, but without any success.

After days of searching in the web I found an article of an other user who encoutered almost the same Problems. But he was able to fix that Problem, just because of your help!

I already did what thisisu wanted viarce to do. The FRST.txt should be attached in this article.

I would really apreciate any help! Thank you so much in advance.

Futhermore i want to say sorry for the spelling/Grammar mistakes i have done in this Thread. English isn't my mothertongue, but i gave my best.

    Best regards from Germany,
    Christoph

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

I'm sorry but your problem is not the same as in that thread. That user had a Zero Access infection. Your log only shows the below system files to be missing
I will move your thread to the Software Forum because this does not appear to be malware problem and what was done to the PC by hard booting my have corrupted Windows. Running Hiren's CD incorrectly may have made things worse. It is quite normal to see user information on a different partition than C

Running sfc /scannow from the command prompt of the System Recovery options menu may help.

    Hello chaslang,

Thank you for moving the thread into the right section! I didn't know that my Problem is an other.
I used FRST64 and searched for LPK.dll on the System, i attached the result. (Search.txt)

She already told me that she tried to do a "backup" by doing that. Nevertheless i hope i haven't made it worse by doing that.

After doing that, it is teling me that it need to do a restart in order to install some things. But then, after "Starting Windows" -> BSOD . Or if I enter the System Recovery Option and perform it again, ist telling me the same (Need to do a Restart)

Looking forward to hearing from someone.

    Best regards,
    Christoph
