BSoD prob

Hi, been a while since I posted but im hoping someone can help

I recently brought the following
1 x Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4ghz) Socket 775 FSB1066 4MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor 112706
1 x BFG 680i SLI nForce Intel socket 775 DDR2 ATX 124173
1 x WD Raptor X WD1500AHFD 150GB SATA 10KRPM 16MB Cache - OEM 110777
1 x OCZ 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 CL 4-4-4-15 PLATINUM XTC with LIFETIME WARRANTY 116755

All from ebuyer.

I started to install XpPro and all was going ok until I got the first proper windows loading screen, now the blue bars complete 4 passes and I get BSoD everytime.

I tried swapping out one memory stick at a time but no joy.

I have been through the bios and tried a few different things but I am banging my head against the wall.

Anyone know what component could be at fault or not compatible?

I will be onto ebuyer but am stuck as to what the problem is, any suggestions greatly appreciated.

 

Two things

Firstly make sure any BIOS antivirus is turned OFF. The Bios AV regards Windows as a virus!!

Secondly when you get to the option 'F6 to load raid driver...'

press F5 (yes5) and choose a more appropriate hardware config from the scroll down list.

Got it fixed, was a combination of a few things

XP pro disc had a scratch, the floppy had corrupt file, had to barstadise the install using Xp pro CD Xp home cd and then after ignoring the errors using the MB CD to install the corrupt file on the floppy.

All now up and running just updating etc then gonna get a benchmark to see how it flys
