    Hi all,

Many apologies in advance for the wall of text, but I felt a full explanation was in order for hopeful help. :)

Also many apologies If this is in the wrong section to be honest I am not sure if this is software or hardware related.

I have been having a problem with my PC, over the past 5 days I have been getting a BSOD, for some reason it happens mostly when I am playing online games ( World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online & Eve Online) the crashes occur anywhere from 15 minutes into the game to about 6 hours into a game) as far as I know the PC does not crash while out of game, and lets me connect to the web (browse sites, check email just fine) the BSOD I am getting is listed below.

    Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

    STOP : 0x000000D1 (0x00000039, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xF77F9F2E)

    USBUBCI.SYS - address F77592E base at F77F7000 Datastamp 480254406

I have searched the internet a bit to see if I can find a solution, so far most people who have had this seem to think its either Memory,Motherboard or USB devices related, I have found that its related to a USB UHCI Miniport Driver (to be honest I have no idea what this means) as to USB Device I only have 3 connected a Canon IP1800, Microsoft comfort keyboard 2000 & a Speedtouch 330 USB Modem) I have tried to find upto date drivers for all, so far I did managed to update the keyboard, the modems driver have not been supported since 2003 so I have the latest of them as to the printer I am sure they are upto date.

I am wondering as to whether its the modem but to be honest I am not sure.

And to be honest this problem has me dumfounded :-o, so any help or suggestion would be extremely grateful, thank you for taking the time to read this.

Since you didn't post your version of Windows, I'll start off with a few generic troubleshooting tips:

    * Scan and clean up the registry with Advanced System Care.

    * Run tests on the video card and memory.

    * Reset the BIOS to factory defaults (including disabling any overclocking)

    * Go to the video card driver (NVIDIA or ATI) support site and verify you have the newest drivers. Windows Update doesn't always catch them.

    * Keep an eye on your temps.

    Hope this helps. :)
