Please post the full BSOD message here. This will give us enough information to begin the troubleshooting process.

Also, when was the last time the computer worked?

What was the last thing you installed on the computer?

What was the last program you used on the computer?

Does the reboot happen randomly or after a certain period of time?

Does the reboot happen in safe mode? Repeatedly press F8 as the computer is booting up until you get a list of options like "safe mode", "safe mode with networking", "normal startup" etc. Then use the keyboard arrow keys to select "safe mode" and press enter. When the computer has booted into safe mode, it may display a dialog box asking you if you wish to continue in safe mode. Select the option that keeps you in safe mode and continue using the computer. Please be aware however that some programs may not run in safe mode. It is not for everyday usage.

The BSOD is random, maybe days or a week or two. The only part of the code I was able to get was mentioned previously. Otherwise my system works, tho it freezes at times; likely related.
Question.. when I set the advanced option to not restart after a BS, does it reset itself when I restart it, or will I need to manually do that at some point?
The last installs were Last Pass Vault, Speed Fan, and Hard Disk Monitor. I've removed the last 2.
I'll post the BSOD error details when it happens again.
    Thanks

Well, I do have programs rarely if ever used. The rest of maintenance I do... I've used CCleaner for years; never a problem.
So next, I'll wait for the BSOD, and let you know.
    Thanks.

Or you could follow the guide previously posted and see what information you can get now?

I've attached what may describe one of my BSOD events, from 'Event Viewer'. Hopefully it'll shed some light. **Can't tell if attachment got attached.

OK. I LOOKED at it twice. The 3rd time I read it, downloaded the tools and (mostly) read the rest of it. Mostly greek to me. I'll make the time to get through it, hoping at the end I'll have something I can use. Daunting, but I'll see.

Tho I haven't worked through the step by step trouble shooting, I did ck the Blue Screen utility you recommended, following another BSOD event 12/8. I've attached the file it produced. Let me know if that provides any useful info.

if you go to your c:\ > windows > look for a folder called minidump. Can you attach the most recent minidump?

from the information domluc has given the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL refers to a faulty device driver

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/818501

i would try and update your drivers like video, audio, networking, and anything else that can be updated or is available to update. Bios and such things should be a last resort to update

Oh. Had no idea the minidump and the Blue Screen program gave the same info.

They don't. Thats not the minidump, and thats a very small portion of info.

THe minidump file is in dmp format, in the location described by the readme and above. If you cannot attach it, make sure its zipped--as the forum will nto let you post it in dmp format.

I tried attaching the minidump again, and it says 'error', I've already attached it. I'll now try renaming it.... Well, I did that + deleted and re-zipped it, still won't let me re-attach it.

MemTest was fine; 0 errors. I've attached, hopefully, a recent minidump zipped.
Well, I'll try later. The attachment icon isn't working.
    Thanks, Ray
