Ok so lately I've been doing the usual at home, gaming, design, browsing etc but when I head off to LAN's I encounter problems primarily when I'm running multiple programs and especially when I'm copying large amounts of files through the network.

In fact I think it's the motherboard which is causing it to BSOD though I would rather have another persons opinion/help before sending it in to have a look at. I'm still at the LAN at the moment so things are going fine for now, though a little earlier I was experiencing problems with my network adapter in the motherboard. It was detecting that I was plugged into the switch though while everyone else was getting internet I failed to get it. I also couldn't browse the network so I think it's something to do with that.

My set up, which is all roughly 2-3 months old
    850W XFX Blk PSU
    6870 HIS GFX
    Corsair DOMINATOR-GT
    ASUS IV RoG Extreme motherboard
    AMD 1090T Blk edition
    H50 Heatsink

The CPU is clocked to 3200mhz so it isn't even overclocked though it used to be at 4ghz though I reverted back to old settings a while back. The GFX card hasn't been OC'd and the RAM is on stock settings

This is one of the BSODs I was getting,

    Hi

What Windows version and Service Pack are you using?

Do make sure that no components are still overclocked past their defaults.

Your error is likely this HERE and in Device Manager do you have any yellow ! marks and if so by what device?

But the main causes are generally motherboard and GFX card, so I would re-install your Motherboard/Chipset drivers from ASUS (would directly post the link but dont know your Windows version and is this the Maximus or Crosshair IV board) first and reboot, then install the latest ATi driver HERE for your GFX card, just need to pick your Windows version in the drop downs.

    Sorry for the late reply

I'm using Windows 7 without any of the major updates - I don't suppose that would have any relation to the problem?

All components are stock as well and no yellow !'s in device manager

The weird thing is too since coming back from the LAN I have yet to BSoD once! I've been applying the exact same pressure as well on the computer that I was at the LAN and no BSoD.

I'll check out the page you linked and get back to you soon!

Thanks for the help! It's well appreciated
