As per instructions, opening in lounge for the benefit of those who have missed out on the pleasures of BTVS. That's YOU TeeCee.....;)
Anyway as I was saying, before we were so rudely interrupted. That's YOU TimW....:p :-D

It's a weird thing, but I should hate Buffy. I can't stand that American nonsense that is aimed at teenage audiences. But as it progressed it got funnier and darker. Like A Haunting with laughs. The introduction of demons interested me. I love all things occult. Demonology (while I don't believe in them) is a good read at any time. American Indian (non PC?) demons are particularly interesting.

Sorry, bigtrucks, I am from Newcastle, UK. If Spike spoke anything like me, the English speaking world would have a job understanding him. rolleyes

I am and always have been a Buffy fan. I watched it avidly when it was on and now my 12 year old and her girlfriend are totally hooked on it thanks to DVDs.

Geared towards teens or not (I'd probably argue that point), it was one of the best written shows that has been on tv.

I'm not sure what I think about the movie/or new tv show that I just read about coming though. Seems sort of a desperate move...particularly considering Joss Weden isn't going to be involved.

Sorry, Laura, that was very ineptly worded. I think it was widely embraced by all ages, but I think at the start, more teenie orientated. What I meant was the stuff directed at the teenage audience to get mega merchandise and music deals, ala Camp Rock, High Shmooze Musical, Hannah Montana, usually desperate Disney stuff.

Hi Joey & Laura, I WILL have to look for those DVD's, as I haven't seen a one yet.....:-o Not because I don't' want to, but it was never on our local stations.... Sounds like I have really missed a good one too...

Thanks for bringing this to the lounge, Joey, I'll have to make a note and keep an eye out for that one when I go into town... I suppose there are how many seasons in it now? Hopefully, I can catch up to you two! :-D
    IF I can!!! ;)

Take your cheque book, there are seven seasons. The series gets progressively better, so stick with it.

7 seasons? No point in taking the check book... It doesn't have anything in it :-D I'll pick up one season at a time, but also check to see if anyone I know that has cable or satellite has any of them.. Might be able to swap seasons with someone... I don't have a satellite, but some people do, so might give that a whirl... Thanks Joey! This really sounds like a good one, with 7 seasons.... ;)

Thought of giving ebay a shot? You'll get them all at a fraction of the retail price.
