Personally and knowing alot about the previous case, and that they both where let out way way too early, this Venables just stuck his fingers up at the law and broke is parole in more ways than just this (why his new ID was about to be reviealed is the idiot came back to liverpool *he was barred from the city by his parole terms* and was in clubs, pubs, taking drugs and bragging about certain things), so he should IMHO get the full sentence he did get originally added to this new one, which for a Child Porn offence is light by other standards.

The ironic thing about this is when he gets out (again) he will have another new identity at a huge cost to the taxpayers of UK on top of the cost of protecting him in prison.

    It really is a scandal

In a similar vein Ian Huntley (the Soham killer) is suing the prison system for failing to protect him.

It would seem the criminal fares better than the victim.

It often seems the criminals have more rights than the law abiding citizens.

Why is it the Brits give criminals new identities? Here, if they are a sex offender, their name and address is available on the Internet and they stay there indefinitely and usually aren't allowed to go close to schools, etc.

The only people I know of that get new IDs are high ranking criminals who have turned state's evidence, and of course that usually is just to save their own hides.

But a new ID for a sex offender???:confused:confused

I a way he and his accomplice where not sex offenders originally but murderers, and they where both 10yrs old at the time they killed James Bulger in a horrific way.

The EU Courts stuck their noses in with defence lawyer urging to state that they didnt know what they where doing and should not have been tried in an adult court, so the sentences where commuted and they gained new IDs and lives (sadly the poor victim didnt!) but they had conditions, on the parole.

Looks like one of them didnt heed this and went on to just flount the law and was caught, now comes the tricky bit, while sex offenders in the UK "do" go on a register, it may look like Venables may get away with that due to the previous case.

Although in my mind he broke the conditions of parole and should serve the original sentence which is "on her majestys pleasure" which is then the Home Secretary at the time, feels like letting someone out.

Can read alot about the original case HERE

He broke parole rules so should serve out his original sentence in the general pop area.:innocent He's got a broken brain and I'm sure has or would kill again. People don't just become psychopaths, the signs are there in youth.

controvertial statement, i think it depends on many factors, otherwise they'd just round up all of the bad kids the day they started secondary school, so they only could attack each other

In regard to Bills post #3, who says they will be protected while in prison?
Most of the people in there are vicious, no doubt, but most of them have little or no concern for child sex offenders.
Be very surprised if he did come out alive if he gets sent in.

They end up in a prison thats dedicated to the same type of offences so in general they dont end up in the general population prisons, to be honest the prisons they end up in are more like 5* hotels and better accomodation, meals and care than most pensioners get who have not committed any crime!

So that they can compare tales and experiences?
Put them in the general prisons with the type of people who would teach them what NOT to be doing.

    Likely so.

and well the UK has too many do gooder groups that say, "ah you cannot do that as it would hurt their human rights"... yeah right, not to say what the hell happened to the human rights of their victim.

We have this latest one from an infamous killer (now changed his name, wonder why) and very likely he is getting legal aid, which means the honest law abiding citizens of the UK tax paying society are paying for this legal case that will only serve to line the pockets of lawyers.

In the UK that's only like 1,4,8, two weeks! My friend was doing triple life for not displaying his car tax disc properly but had his sentence expunged when he stuck it back on the windscreen.:-D
