recently I had to replace my hdd drive and was attemping to clone it which was unsuccessful. At this point i started from scratch and just installed windows on the new drive. however, i didn't remove the old hdd from the usb port and i guess xp setup saw it as c:\ so i had to install on the drive letter of the drive that was now the interla. Now I"m having this problem where some installations (like palm!! grrrrrrr) will only install to c:\ because that's what's specified in the installation files. is there a work around for this short of doing the whole xp installation over again? (and yes i know I should have paid more attention/removed the usb connected drive before starting xp installation so please no comments about that, lol.......thanx in advance)

found a solution to this on the palm one forums. however the virtual drive option s (via the DOS subst command) won't work for my Approvit software.
