I hate to say this, but it sounds really really good. LOL

Not that I would ever spend $200 on any burger, much less from BK.

I saw that on the news. Just wondering, can you supersize it, and how much is the 'combo' meal? :-D

I think I will cook my own burgers for now...

The proceeds are for a good cause. It will probably generate more money then simply asking for peoples help.

If they wanted to do charity, they could stop slaughtering animals the way they do with illegal immigrants who are treated badly. Hypocrites.

I think i misunderstood your post about illegals and cattle.. Are you saying that they're using illegals to butcher cattle, and are doing so in a bad fashion? I would agree with that, I've seen the videos. I don't think, however that there is anything wrong with raising animals to be eaten..

it's not my cup of tea, with the tuffles and all, but at least it's for charity, in the story it said "wagyu" beef, is that like Kobe beef, never heard of wagyu. ( off to google)

here's the wiki if anyones interested http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wagyu

I eat meat still, but about 80% less then I did after reading Fast Food Nation, not to mention going more organic, dieting, quitting smoking and losing 20 pounds.

I've been quit on smoking for almost 4 weeks now (that will be tomorrow) and I'm finally getting to the point where I can breath again. Haven't lost much in the last month, but haven't gained either, and let me tell you , the food does taste better now. I have lost about 35 pounds since the beginning of the year just by switching from white starches to brown (brown rice, wheat bread and pasta, etc) and by cutting out the fast food... I allow myself to hit BK or McD's once a month and never more than a medium sized meal, but that keeps me from going hog wild there when I am jonesing. I am actually going to have to buy a smaller belt when I am working again.

Life isn't too bad... got a tan and getting back in shape :)

Good on you Guys for giving up smoking. :major Really hard to do, but worth it, if you can keep it up. Fortunately I've never smoked. I used to smoke one a year to remind me how it fouled my breath with just one.

I've lost around 30 kilos (66 pounds) over the past 2 years by just cutting down on the size and frequency of my meals. Changing to Wholemeal bread, cutting out normal potatoes, sugar, and switching to sweet potatoes and Sugarine helped too.

I promised my son. I dont lie, I dont break promises. Someone always said the key to quitting smoking is to have the proper motivation, its like turning a light bulb on one day.

I found Easyway helped me to understand the lies about smoking and helped me through what should have been difficult times, including the second day.

That is the best description of it I have seen. Just like a light switch, I decided I would quit. I won't say it was easy, but it was not near as hard as I thought it would be. I have not smoked in 13 months or so.

And so my post is somewhat relevant, I think I will have a burger for lunch today! It will cost around $6, not $200! :-D

Hmm, interesting burger combination of flavours. I can make a fairly close substitute of that I believe. Instead of using Kobe beef, regular ground done by my butcher using sirloin, substitute the truffles with a truffle oil (which I have), replace the Pata Negra with a decent prosciutto, Vidalia onion, reduce a half-decent Balsamic vinegar, make my own mayo and bake my own saffron buns (I have a tad of that too). Grind some pickling salt and 'HIDE the KETCHUP! :-D Should be interesting.:yum

Hehehe,:p @ Dan.:) Mayo is easy to make, and baking is somewhat harder to 'get it right'. I will do this the day before so's I don't go nuts the day of.;) I like to cook if you haven't noticed yet.:)

@muskie, next Saturday as we have two long weekends in a row. Gf is working this one and will get Canada Day off next w/e. It's St. Jean de Baptiste this weekend, for the French.

Grats buddy, you were pretty large, but I also assumed you were a big guy to begin with. We have to get together sometime and see how were doing. Like you, I went from 203 to about 190 NO problem. Its been slow from there, I think I am between 182 and 187 now with an all time low of 178. In past 3 months, BK once, McDonalds once. Went from 36 to 34 and aiming to fit into 32 and try and get some ab definition on my old gut. Been doing Urban Rebounding now, VERY hard excercise and low impact on the knees. Check into it! http://www.urbanrebounding.com/
