Burn an e-mail video onto a disk?

Received an e-mail message with an attachment. When I opened the attachment, it took me to Windows Media Player and a video with sound played. Would there be a way I could burn this piece of video onto a CD or DVD? I have several burning programs as well as what came with XP. Thanks.

 

i have roxio easy cd creator.
pop in a cd-r and open the burning app.
drag said file to the bottom then burn the cd.

i wait until i have enough files to use the entire 650 to 700 MB of space before i burn a cd.

burning one file seems like a waste of space but the choice is yours.

 

Thanks. The burning process was much easier than I expected, but there's a problem. The disk (a CD-RW) won't play on my home DVD player. The player will play CD-RWs. The disk properties says the recording is a Windows Media Audio/Video file. Would that be the reason my player won't play it? The disk does play in my computer. I recorded it as a data disk.

 

As I've researched this situation, it appears that maybe I need to convert the Windows Media Video files to something I can burn and then play on a home DVD player. I did a search for WMV converter on MajorGeeks, but couldn't find one. Any help?

 

all of my experience is with cd-r disks. don't know about cd-rw

all the videos i burn seem to work okay. quicktime, realmedia, no problem.

you might need the right codec to play the file.

 

My home DVD player will play CD-RWs. But I guess it won't play Windows Media Video files. I think I need to convert those files to MPEG or other types that my DVD player will accept. But I don't know what kind of program does converting like that.
