burner probs

can anyone please help me..don't know if this is the right forum. here goes.. got a pioneer dvd-cd dvr 105 already installed on my comp... few days ago was promted to update firmware. did that on pioneer site. went to install and was told. didn't need it. from then my cd drive E: wont burn. it plays cd and dvd's.but wont burn or copy. i have nero 6. even media player 11 don't burn. i get different messages after each burn failure. power calibration error. wrong speed, disc format not recognised etc etc..anyone got any ideas.it's driving me insane... thanx..

 

Maybe just uninstall and then re install the software. Sounds like a software problem, so i guess a clean install would fix it and take it back to how it was before it got broken.

 

and if that doesn't work you can always download and install the previous firmware update.
