 I have tried to burn a CD from the program Lime Wire I use Nero Smart for the burning I cant get it to burn .When I hit the burn button it kicks the Cd out and says it wont burn.
If I use the program Gnucleus and then Nero Smart I can burn with very little problems.
I prefer to use the Lime Wire program because I have life time membership and I can get movies from this also.
If anybody knows anything about Lime Wire could you please help.
    Thanks Sondrarose

LimeWire is used for file sharing... Nero is used for CD burning... yes?

Often the files you save with LimeWire may have very very very long filenames, and some CD burning programs maybe cannot handle that. You may need to check that your filenames are compatible with CD burning standards. There is a limit like 30 characters or less, I'm not exactly sure, if you are burning in ISO9660 format that is Windows and Mac compatible.

Why not just copy files from your LimeWire shared directory onto CD media using your CD burner program, like Nero or others? LimeWire does not need to be running when you do that...

It should be as simple as backing up a set of files or a from your hard drive onto a CDROM....

Maybe you need to describe your problem in more detail?

Are you sure you are using new, blank, writeable CDROM media that is compatible with your CD burning drive?

when I download a song from Lime Wire after it is done I go to explore and drag the song over to the nero program to burn it and when I start the burn prosses it stops and wont burn.
I can go to my gnucleus program and download the same song and drag it to nero and it will burn.
This is something I am just learning so I am trying to explain it the best that I can. Sorry
I have downloaded movies and would like to burn them also but if I cant get it to work with a CD it isnt going to work for a DVD.

Just an idea... and here is a question...

I do not know anything about NERO, but I do use LimeWire. If I want to back up files to CDROM, it works fine for me when I use ROXIO Easy CD/DVD creator.

I just drag folders from my hard drive into the ROXIO burner window, then I can burn my CD/DVD.

You may want to try this:

First COPY each file into another (NEW) folder on your hard drive, then using that NEW folder when you want to burn your CD.

Then you can NEW folder when you are satisfied that the CD was burned correctly.

Try that, and see if it makes any difference. Let us know if it helps?
