Burning CD-RW disk

Hi,

I have a CD-RW LG burner on my computer and I use Windows XP SP2.

Let me explain the problem quickly.

I have burned a CD-RW and it worked fine except if I insert this CD in the burner to burn something else, my computer reboots and will do so as long as the CD is in the drive. :cry

Can anyone guide me to solve this problem ?

So it only reboots if you put in a CD-R? Your wording kind of threw me.

It only reboots when using a CD-RW in the burner.

If I put this CD-RW in the regular CD drive, it doesn't reboot.

 

Ok, first, uninstall your burning software. Then see if it does the same--its probably the third party drivers being corrupted or incompatible.

 

Finally, everything works fine now...

This was a weird situation, a while ago I had upgraded my burning software, I was using Roxio Easy CD creator and had upgraded to a newer version of Easy Media Creator with exactly this pre-existing problem. (computer rebooted when I inserted an already "burned" CD-RW).
So I had uninstalled the older version of the software, re-installed the newer version and that didn't solve the problem, but now I uninstalled and re-installed the software and everything looks fine, for the moment anyways ;-)
