I am downloading seminars and my mp3 player to make CDs to listen to in my car and on my CD players. I am running into this problem: They won't play on my boom boxes and my car MP3 player. I am using Roxio 6. What can I do to be able to play the CDs on these players. They play on my computer and my TV/DVD player.

Well sir, assuming you have usable media (good brand that is supported by your players) and that your burner isn't failing on you (the symptoms you describe are indicative of these problems), then there are two ways to approach this.

If you are trying to create an MP3 CD, it should be as simple as creating a new DATA cd in Roxio, adding the files to the project and burning. The drawback to this method is that the CD will not play in standard CD players.

The other is to create an Audio CD, which is the same procedure, only Roxio converts them into a format that should play in your systems. Now, if this is failing, and above conditions are met (you have good media, and the burner is in good working condition), there are a few things we can try. Converting the files to .wav format before the burn, and lowering your burn speed might improve the reliablity of your copies.
