Burning Crusade will not install.. Plz Help!

hey guys, just got BC yesterday, was soooo excited to play it, started to install, got thru disk 1, then when it ask for disk 2, i put the disk in then the installer freezes, nothing i can do, task manager wont close it, and bc WILL NOT INSTALL!! GRRR, i have tried this 3 times, and im sure ppl know how long wow takes to install, coz i have to uninstall EVERYTHING to try and install bc again. i have tried using alc 120% making iso's and mounting them with daemon tools, same problem again..... anyone know what i can do? im really annoyed coz the more time i spend tryin to fix it, the less days my account has to play

Error message or just sits there? Try uninstalling/reinstalling wow.

 

just sits there, no msg, i have tried uninstalling/reinstalling 3 times now, with the same result

 

last time i let it sit there for about an hour. still didnt do anything

 

Did you apply all wow patches before trying to install burn crusade?

 

no, i didnt install all patches, i dont see why that would make it hang though?

 

Because it may except some files to be there, before changing modifying them.

 

ok, know where i can get a complete download? up updating from v1

also im just tryin to install on another comp, i will keep ya posted

 

Think you have to run the internal wow update for updates, don't know much more then that i don't play wow.

 

hey guys, i fixed it up, you have to have atleast 2.0.1 patch on wow first, but even with that applied the application still locked up, the installer has some kind of bug with the change of cd's, so all i had to do was copy all the files from each cd and place them into a folder on the desktop, making sure NO disk was in the drive, i ran the installer from the desktop, because all the tome files were in the same folder it didnt need to ask for the next disk, it just installed the whole thing!

i have read on other forums about this problem, and stubled accross this solution, it worked for me.

so after 2 nights of pure frustration.... im goin to play wow
