    Hi,

What's up with the Buy Sell Trade forum? I looked for it, didn't see it, searched for it, didn't see anything mentioned for it, and then googled it and it came up on google and let me click on the link but there's no option for me to post a new thread there. Also if I did post a thread would anyone be able to see it? The lead intro post says mods need to validate threads but no instructions on how to do this. Any help please?

    Thanks

I heard they removed it a week or so ago. I'm not sure why.

    Hi

The owners have chosen to remove it from Major Geeks. There have been one too many problems with people getting ripped off and either not being paid or not receiving what they paid for.

It was decided the amount of activity did not warrant the problems we were having.

Did MG drop the "Buy/Sell" forum?

Is the "Buy/Sell/Trade" forum here at MG gone? OK- I've had a beer or four but I looked several times and it appeared to be non-existent.... wuzzup?

I have some BRAND NEW stuff I don't need, and MG seems like a better place than the local CraigsList to sell some BRAND NEW tech goods....

    Oh well this aint Walley-World...

I never had any issues here, I've even met a few MGers in person on a couple deals.
I guess alot has to do how one handles these transactions....

Unfortunately, there are always those that take advantage.

It was a nice feature to have here at MGs, but it wasn't a formal system, therefore, even though MGs wasn't responsible for the transactions, it still reflects poorly on the site as a whole when things do go wrong.

Unfortunate turn of events.... I guess I'll have to post the items I have on a different site's buy/sell forum.... bummer.... I've sold a couple of items thru the MG buy/sell forum and never had a problem, but I never did buy anything, so maybe that's where the issues arose... too bad... some people simply suck and that's the way of the world, too bad it had to infiltrate our more-or-less "straight up & honest" corner of cyberinterwebspace.

Yeah it stinks but I think MG did the right thing. I don't think it should make MG look bad anyways. Its the person themself. I just remember the last issue that was happening before it got taken away. Long time forum member here was banned for not following the rules.
