buying new game

Yeah,seems like alot of games suck now,or is it that we are getting older?Imagine if a kid who gets his first decent pc and plays the first FPS he's ever played,It wouldnt really matter which one,I think he'll love it,maybe we are expecting too much of games these days,we want an incredible interactive adventure that has never been done before,I miss that feeling though of wanting to do anything to have another go on a game or when I'm away from a game,sat there thinking of new ways to get past a sticking point

 

I don't know if we are expecting so much (although that may be part of it), I think it's more that we are promised so much!

How many times do you get told that the next release of a game will be the "best ever", only to be thoroughly disappointed?

The bit I really hate and find misleading are the promo clips that are played that aren't in real-time and don't look anything like the actual game. (Sony Playstation are the worst offenders)

As far as Half Life 2 is concerned, don't let my ramblings put anyone off. It's a great game, it's just Steam that's useless.

 

Speaking of Fahrenheit, I just installed the demo last week and can't figure out which key is the default action key?

For example, to pick up a knife, what do you press?

I have tried every bloody key, and checked the configuration menu, and I can't figure it out?

 

You use the mouse.

It doesn't do a thing, even when I'm in the correct position. (pop-up image showing object or whatever)

already played those beyond reason, besides I'm looking for a pc game, just got my best buy reward zone cards in looks like I'm up to a budget of 50$ now, I might end up getting hl2 even though its way overpriced. any suggestions before I go, now that my budget is 50

 

you see the top of your screen? you should see this red dot, move it in the same motion as the red dot to do diff actions with your mouse.

 

Yeah, I tried that.

I'm assuming you have to click on the left mouse button, hold it down, then move the mouse in the direction indicated.

The game (Fahrenheit) doesn't look that great.
