Buying New Laptop Advice Please

I am considering the purchase of a new laptop. I'm in no rush so I want to receive people's advice on purchasing one. My only preference is that storage-wise it has 1 TB. I'm also not keen on getting a laptop from Acer. I may also need some help with terminology and specifications. For example, I was looking at this HP laptop (https://www.hp.com/gb-en/shop/product.aspx?id=800Q2EA&opt=ABU&sel=NTB) but I don't understand the following regards its specs. I know the OS is Windows 11 but what does S mode mean? The names of processors mean nothing to me, so what should I be looking for or avoid? The graphics of the laptop I've linked to are AMD Radeon™ Graphics. Is that good, bad, indifferent? I can I know?

I'm sure it will help people make recommendations if I state what I will use it for. It will be used with Microsoft Office 365 (which I already have a licence for), sending/receiving emails, surfing the Net, listening to music and watching films/TV. I don't do gaming and don't download large amounts of stuff. However, I also don't want something that's too sluggish so probably nothing less than 8 GB RAM.

As I don't really know all the info that will help people help me I'm more than happy to answer any questions to garner further information.

For your stated purpose, that graphics solution is just fine - so is 8GB though I prefer 16GB these days. However, having a SSD instead of a hard drive will definitely help compensate for any limitations having 8GB "might" impose.
