We have just had a less than respectible company fit some kit on our roof to supply us with internet access. We are paying for C band but have a sneaky suspicion that they are infact giving us KU band (cheaper).
Is there any software test available that can identify this (similar to a speed test, etc)??

You can find a slew of speed tests by typing "speed test" in google. I cannot recommend any particular one as being reliable but there a lot of them. Maybe give a couple of them a try.

Will that tell me if we are getting C or KU band??
I ran a batch of speed tests to ensure we were getting the bandwidth we are paying for, using Internetfrog and Speedtest.net and the bandwith is pretty near what we are paying for. The issue we have is reliability in poor weather.
As you know C band is much more expensive than KU band and is more reliable in poor weather. As the speed would be the same for C or KU band I was trying to see if there were any other tools which would determine the frequency of the inbound signal. I did a cursory check on google and couldn't find anything :cry
