C:Windows\System32\Autoexec.NT Error Message ?

    Two programs I am trying to run are giving me error messages. Specifically the message stated " C:Windows\System32\Autoexec.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft WIndows Applications. Choose close to terminate the application." I then get to select close or ignore. Both seem to do nothing.

    The programs are from the mid 90's, so I am guessing it is a compatibility issue. I tried messing with the compatibility options with no luck.

    Any ideas?
