    Hi Guys.

normally i'm ok at removing malware and the likes but this has me stumped.

Currently running kaspersky internet security and it wouldn't update so after some digging i found that i have a file that's infected and can't seem to beat it. the file is wlanapi.dll in the system32 folder and all attempts to sort it results in a denial. Kaspersky, spyware and malware bytes do recognise and tries to access the file it but always ends being untreated and skipped.

Any ideas what i can do please?

I have attached the mglogs zip for your perusal

    Many thanks

You need to ensure you have followed all of these instructions. There's more to do besides MGTools. READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

    Also:

I want you to run TDSSKiller so refer to the below for how to do so.

    TDSSkiller - How to run

Please also download MBRCheck to your desktop
    • Double click MBRCheck.exe to run (vista and Win 7 right click and select Run as Administrator)
    • It will show a Black screen with some information that will contain either the below line if no problem is found:
      • Done! Press ENTER to exit...
    • Or you will see more information like below if a problem is found:
      • Found non-standard or infected MBR.
      • Enter 'Y' and hit ENTER for more options, or 'N' to exit:
    • Either way, just choose to exit the program at this point since we want to see only the scan results to begin with.
    • MBRCheck will create a log named similar to MBRCheck_07.16.10_00.32.33.txt which is random based on date and time.

Can you explain what was to no avail? I still need to see the log from TDSSKiller please whether it found anything or not. I also need to know what happened with Malware Bytes, SUPERantispyware and Combofix. If they ran, then I want to see logs from them. If you have not tried running them yet then you need to. Thanks.
