cable modem hack

    finally got broad band and am alloted 1.5 megs a sec download though the modem is capped and I am allocated 10 megs a sec. What are the pros and cons of using a program to remove the cap?? Is it legal?? what about TOS?? any info will be appreciated i dont need to do it I want to because I can but within acceptable boundaries.
    tested modem speed 1.63 megs after 3 years of dialup WHOOPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    It is illegal, it violates the TOS, and it will bassicly get you barred of your ISP broadband and possibly other ISPs' broadband for a loong time... Or atleast that's what I've seen...
