    Hi everyone,
Just a little question.... does anyone know of a free version, or similar to, of Rhinosorus ????. My Daughter is at Uni taking a degree in Art and Design and needs this program/software to design pottery and shapes of glass and the like. As you can probably appreciate with her being a student money is pretty tight, she has to budget for all of her course materials. Any pointers in the right direction would be gratefully welcomed.

Hi iain, I can't really make head nor tales of this software, but i suspect what your looking for may be ther if you can understand it, maybe get your daughter to take a look....

I do want to point out i [obviously] have never used this software, and can't vouch for it's suitablility, however i have just downloaded a few files from the site and they have all came up clean and safe.

    Here is a link...

I understand that money is tight but I do not know of anything that can compare to Rhino. If she should decide to purchase it, she can get a student license for $195. This is a discount of $800 of the retail price.

    Hi,
And thanks to both of you for your responses, I can't make heads nor tails of how to use these programs neither!!!. I will discuss options with her about what it is that she needs!!! no doubt she'll still want Rhino as that is what she is using at Uni, I don't think she knows about the Student Discount!!! so heads up on that THANK's!!!

    Hello,
You are welcome. I played around with this software years ago. It is a free-form modeler and I do not know of anything that can touch it for what it does for the price. If somebody tries to sell her something else, that would be a mistake. I did not see that you were from the U.K. so here is the link for your country.

foogoo, Thanks! that is a very good find. That is basically what rhino is, a free form modeler.

    Thanks tgel.
She has been advised off her tutor to use Rhino 4 and the Flamingo plug-in,so she is looking into it now,it amazes me that she can use any of this software it looks way too complicated to me,(but i'm an ol' man rolleyes ).

foogoo, Thanks for the link also, i have told her to have a look as it looks similar to rhino, but she is adamant that she wants/needs rhino, so looks like Daddy will be getting hit in the pocket!!!!! part of her crimbo box!!!

Regards to both of you for your assistance.
