When booting PC (Windows XP - SP2) I have noticed that prior to doing anything I find the following three files in cache.

Found doing a Tools>Clean Filesin McAfee

    dio(x).tmp
    mar(x).tmp
    sts(y). tmp

where X is a number and y is a letter.

I have MaAfee (Via Comcast) running and have ran the following items in an attempt to remove these items.

    Malaware
    Spybot
    SuperAntispyware
    Karpinsky (sic?)
    McAfee
    McAfee Stinger

While each of the above discovered items issues (and cleaned them) I have not been able to remove the above mentioned .tmp files from appearing after boot up.

I searched the web and the only items I have seen mentioned seem to point to spy / malware but they are written in German. (Life is funny that way:))

So I guess my real question is this.

    Are these files a problem?

If so how do I remove them?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.
