    Which OS?

    What are your PC specs?
    if your at min requirements then and depending on graphic card type you may not be able to run game, as its a very intensive graphical game.

    Have you stopped all background tasks from running, even your AV ( so unhook from ther net when testing this ) maybe software running in background affecting the game.

    If you are a gamer do you have xFire running? if so stop is and test game again.

    Well only thing that is to low is my proc speed, mine is 2.2, needed 2.4, but that wouldnt make the game crash like this, it would just be laggish,

    OS XP pro
    512mb ram
    160gb hard drive space
    Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS

    and i dont even have xfire installed since i just "reformated" my comp
    so =(

    It has something to do with direct x apprently, i dled from
    http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/directx.html

    i dont think im missing any DLL files, and im def not low on memory or hard disk space..so ye i have no idea...

    It might have something to do with it... I have athlon xp2600, 2.0ghz and i just bought Bio-shock and it will not even load on my computer! I put dvd in and it shows nothing, looks like disk is empty. Maybe someone else can help but i think new games are just to demanding on older computers. Good luck,

    *shifty* More Windows trickery, aimed at forcing everyone to Intel Processors and Nvidia Graphics cards.

    Have you got SP2 for XP? Some games refuse to run without it.
