I'm having an extremely annoying issue with camtasia. When I was installing it, it froze when installing Ensharpen codec, after a while i quit the installation.

Now I can't uninstall it and it's not even in my programs list.

I really need to have a working camtasia because I record a lot of videos for help on games.

When I try to reinstall, install another version it says: Error 1500: There is another update in progress, exit that one before installing this or something like that, but I'm not installing anything else.

Please please help, I really need to get this thing working

    Hi, welcome to Major Geeks

While I doubt I know much to help you with your problem, it will help anyone that CAN help to know:

What version of Windows are you using?

Do you have other codecs/codec packages installed? If so, which?

Did you have another version of Camtasia still installed before attempting to install this one?

Which version (EXACTLY) of Camtasia are you trying to install? (Right click the installer file, and select Properties, it will likely be in the Details tab)

Have you tried RevoUninstaller to uninstall the failed attempt? If not, it is available here at MG:

If you don't see it in RevoUninstaller, you can open the main window, select Hunter Mode, and drag the shortcut for Camtasia (if one was created) onto the crosshair on the top right part of your desktop screen.

Another thing you could try is running CCleaner (available here at MG), link:

Run both the Cleaner, and the Registry cleaner (allow a backup of your registry to be made, JUST in case).
