I use Process Explorer and was wondering how accurate the date and company names are.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Like all programs that report time/data and other file property information, Process Explorer is just reporting what is in the file. If the information has been tampered with (which is frequently the case these days with malware) then incorrect information may be reported. This is not a problem with ProcessExplorer or any other similar tools. It is the malware itself learning to be more devious. Time/Date, FileSize, CRC/MD5 code, Property Version info can all be manipulated.
