Can anyone help me?

Last week I went to log in to my hotmail account, and it said I had the wrong password. I tried a few times and kept getting the same message until it told I tried logging in incorrecly too many times! I think my password got changed somehow, but I know I didn't do it. I now only use my hotmail account, so whatever I originally signed up as my alternative email no longer exists, so I can't have it sent there (I did try, and that's when I realized how stupid this was, because I don't have any idea what address it went to!). I also tried to answer the security question, but it came up in chinese (or something like that), so I don't have any idea what the question is!
I've now set up a new email account, but there is still some important emails in my old account that I need, as well as all my contacts!
What do I do?!?!?

Thank you so much for your suggestion, but I couldn't find anything helpful there. I did send a message requesting help, but only got back an electronically generated reply showing links to help sections that may have helped, but didn't.

I think I may have finally come up with a solution though! While I was trying what I thought might be possible answers to all sorts of possible security questions, a little lightbulb over my head appeared... I just copied the question, which was wriiten in chinese and search for a free translation website.

I used http://world.altavista.com/tr and was successful in finding out what my security question was!
Who would've known that "第一个宠物的名字" means "What was the name of your first pet?" :confused

Now, I just have to wait until it will accept the right response (too many wrong tries again today) :banghead

 

:cry I have just experienced the exact same thing with my hotmail account and was hoping by now you had come up with an answer. My question was the same as yours and came up in Chinese. Did you have to answer in Chinese maybe????? :confused I too have many emails that I wanted to keep on this account . PLEEEEASE help if you can.
