Can I reformate a Dell-Windows XP, without the disk? Iam having so many problems with this computer. I downloaded and posted like a ton of stupid, long, annoying threads, seeking help.. and no one truly wants to get a headach reading em. Anyways a new computer ain't in the budget.. Ive downloaded so many programs tonight.. all kinds of spyware and virus programs.. and registry cleaner.. I cccleaner, I did defrags and even tried system restore.. But I think something is just to messed up. I shut the computer off and unplugged from wall few days ago.. Then it comes up to blue screen saying memory dump at end with an error! And then i finally got into computer(and I couldnt use safemode) and I ran some scans.. and it got rid of problem.. then it went to freaking slow! Like its the computer thats doing it.. The websites really aint as slow . But when I do anything...restart, start, waiting for it to load, waiting for icons to load, then waiting for internet window to pop open.. , then I click firefox.. and wait 5 minutes for it to load.. then it takes forever to go to a site.. and once Iam there.. its not that bad.. slow but its like the computer is the actual mess up part. And Ive done to much to it to probably get it back?! Please give me a prayer:cry

You posted four threads in malware today......perhaps you should wait for a reply. I have merged all four threads and would suggest that you stop starting threads and Do The READ and RUN FIRST INSTRUCTIONS>

While you're waiting for replies in the Malware Forum, check out this thread, and the really useful guides in it.

Relax. Slow down. Breeeeeeathe! Your computer isn't broken, dead, or dying. It's just messed up, and the malware fighters can help you get rid of the nasty things that you accidentally installed. When they are done, the people in the software forum can help you with the rest if, and only if, you do not panic any further. Wait for answers with instructions, and then follow those instructions.

But please, stop doing the forum equivalent of running around in a circle and screaming " HELP!!!" at the top of your lungs. It's not getting you help any faster, especially not compared to the ones who took a number, waited in line, and have all their forms filled out correctly and ready for when they get called up to the counter.

    Welcome to MGs :)
