Can Malwares be removed by reformatting?

I have some problems with my laptop. It wont download any files. everytime i download something, e.p. software, the laptop would restart. so i wasnt able to download counterspy and the other softwares required for the malware cleaning. and i also think there are worse problems. so i wanted to refresh and startover with my laptop. so i'd be reformatting and reinstalling. will this also remove malwares and other problems?

 

it also has this worm that duplicates the folders. and some viruses.

• Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

• Bitdefender
• Panda Scan
• HijackThis
