Can Msedgeredirect Set Windows Search To Google (but Keep Edge)?

I found MSEdgeRedirect in Major Geeks download section and I'd love to use it to type into Windows search bar (the one at the bottom of the taskbar in my OS) and have it load the searches in my default browser using Google (instead of Bing). The problem is, it seems to want to change the default to either Firefox, Chrome or another third party browser to accomplish it.

I'd like the redirect from Bing to go to my Google Search engine (pre-defined in my Edge preferences), but also keep Edge as the default browser. I was told this isn't possible, but this setting during the installation makes me think it could be.

The link you posted to the MG download page says the application is now at a later version, have you updated?

Thanks for the reply. I actually have not installed yet, because I was hoping to confirm I can even do this before I try it. Do you know if, once installed, this will rediect my Windows taskbar searches to Google (but keep it inside Edge). And not force me to change my default browser to either Chrome or Firefox?
