can not see hard drives

I had an overheating problem for a couple of days and it seems to have caused other problems,

I have 3 hard drives in the PC but can only see 2, the third does not show up in the device manager but does show in the Bios, Sata 1 and 2 are the drives i can see but the third shows as Sata 5, 3 and 4 are undetected.
when i use EASEUS it does not show

 

What a surprise that no one has a solution to this.

Standard questions (I know you've probably tried these, but I gotta ask):

Did the problem drive always show as #5? Have #3 and #4 always shown as undetected?
Have you checked all connections?
Have you swapped connections to verify motherboard/cable integrity?
Have you tried the drive in another machine?

I am not sure if it showed as Sata 5 as this is the first time i have tried to find it.I checked all connections.
I have not swapped connections as yet but will do it.
Can not try it in another PC as i only have this one desktop, the other is a laptop.

 

I'm sure you've checked this but have you looked at the power supply to the drive. I had a similar problem with a drive not showing, SATA connection was fine but there was a loose power connector.
