Can not share Files

    I have two computers. One is running 2000 and the other is using ME. I have them both sharing a dsl conection using a dlink 704P. I can not however get them to share files or even recognize each other. I have no clue what to do please help me.

    My first guess would be to check the Network settings in Win2k. Make sure File and Printer sharing is enabled, and make sure that NetBEUI is installed and enabled. Then you need to check WinME. Make sure NetBEUI is installed, and make sure "I want to be able to share my files" or whatever is checked. Been too long for me to remember that. You might, IIRC, need to change your logon from "Microsoft Logon" to "Client for MS Networks" in WinME, too.

    If none of that works, try pinging each computer.
