    Hi, Tara

    First, try this link: http://messenger.msn.com/Help/

If that doesn't help, I've used this successfully with Windows XP - and as far as I know it only pertains to Windows XP. If you are using WinXP, first create a restore point before doing this. Make sure MSN is closed, and then click "Start" and then "Run." Cut and paste the last line have typed in this message ( Starts with "RunDll32") into the run box, and then hit "Ok". That should do it!

    RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Forgot to mention to reboot when it is finished to make sure it has been removed! :)

Also as an aside, the below procedure is for Microsoft messenger, which is similar to MSN messenger, but comes preloaded on XP - if MSN does not appear in Add/Remove programs, you probably have the regular, pre-installed messenger.
