Can see wifinetwork but cannot connect

Hi,

I've been using a public hotspot outside my apartment or several months now. As of monday my win 7 laptop will no longer connect to it. I can see the network in the list of available connections but it just cannot connect, the trouble shooter suggests turning the router off/on but i'm not in position to do this. its not a case that its out of range as if i go outisde and sit right under it it still fails to login

My iphone connects fine to this connection, and my laptop will connect to the wifi networks just fine. i've tried restoring my system to an earlier time. Doing the ipconfig /release etc ut no luck

Though when i run ipconfig i it just says media disconnected as i'm not connected to anything.

Essentially i'm stumped for what to so any other suggestions would be useful

 

Have you tried consulting with whoever runs the public hotspot? Have you also tried deleting the network profile from your network settings and starting over again?
