can someone HELP! cant get rid of trojan in pc

i have a trojan in my pc and i dont know how to get rid of it can someone help? mcafee virus protection states: the file c:windows\system32\dload.exe was infected by the Downloader-ME trojan. can someone tell me how to get rid of this. i tried the virus scan and tried to clean it but it did not help.

lol, this should really be posted on the spyware specific board. What antivirus are you using on your computer, and did you run/try it in safe mode? Also, what OS are you using- sos

normally when you reboot, you can start tapping the F8 key (sometimes it takes a bit), and it will give you options, like safe mode, safe mode with networking, etc. - sos
