Can`t format pc

I want to format my pc but I cannot format it because it requires password to enter setup and configure the boot settings in order to start windows from cd. I tried to enter setup with some master passwords but noone of them opened it. Can anyone help me pls ?
The computer I need to format has Intel i815e Pentim III processor. Is any other information needed in order to get help?

I want to format it because it is "reach" of viruses. :/ I tried to clean it according to your manuals (for which I really thank you a lot because they have helped me to solve a problem with another pc) but it is very slow and takes a lifetime to complete a process. Also it couldn`t do the online scanners so I finally decided to format it and uups ... it requiered a password
I don`t want to try the "using jumper" idea because I`m afraid that I won`t know how to continue later, maybe it will require things I`m not specialised for.

Were you able to get ANY of the logs we requested? It's possible that just installing CCleaner and running it will do a lot for your computer to help it run the scans faster and this may be easier than trying to refomat. If you cannot do the online scans, the other ones are quite short. They take just a few minutes. Please try and get the three ShowNew (newfiles.txt), GetRunKeys (runkeys.txt) and HijackThis - renamed analyse.exe (hijackthis.log).

If you decide you only want to format and you don't want to try cleaning the computer afterall, we'll have your thread moved to the Software section.

that was an other pc. It is now free of viruses "I hope", although it is very slow and shows often a pop-up window that says the pc is going low in virtual memory it has a 128MB RAM memory, might this be the reason? Or has the harddrive got "old"?

Please go into your Windows Explorer and see if you can find a Nortons Protected Bin. It might be in the recycler or on the same level as the recycler. It's part of the trash. If you find it, please empty it and then try to delete it. If you find one copy, there may be others. See if there are more than one and try to delete them all. After that, please try to run this tool:

Ok I didn`t find any Nortons Protected Bin in my computer but I run The Norton Removel Tool.
Do I need to run scan and post again all 3 files I posted before???

please run analyse.exe (HijackThis) and the ShowNew program again and post these two logs to me:

- hijackthis.log (you don't have to rename the log itself - only the program has to be renamed)
-newfiles.txt (from ShowNew)
