Can this be done in Windows vista

    I was having problems with the yahoo toolbar I had to uninstall it and install a new one.The new one is not compatible with vista .My question can I use the system restore point to the point the old yahoo toolbar was working.

    Can this be done.

    Yahoo does not have the old yahoo toolbar for download.:(

    Hi

    If you have a system restore point from the timeframe the Yahoo Toolbar was working then yes it should do.

    Curious that the Toolbar doesnt work with Vista, what errors are you getting? What version was the toolbar you where installing was it version 8.3?

    What browser version are you using?

    The Yahoo toolbar icons stop working and when clicking on some of the icons it was locking IE up where by I had to use ctrl,alt delete to close it.


    IE8 and vista SP 1

    Hi

    I have to ask do you need the Yahoo toolbar as what amazing feature does it give you to enhance your PC experience, personally I hate toolbars with a passion as they do not add anything.

    Have you not migrated to Vista SP2 as that is current SP for that OS? is this also 32bit or 64bit Vista? if you type winver and hit enter into the start search box it should tell you?

    What are your security applications (antivirus, firewall etc)
    and have you changed any before this started to happen?

    I have not got SP2 I'm still on SP1.And I'm using Kaspersky.Do you think the fact I have IE 8 that may the problem.

    I don't use the toolbar much only for my yahoo stuff I do.Also the toolbar has a pop up blocker too .

    It vista 64 bit and SP 1 came with it.
