Hi I have an hp notebook, with windows XP home ed. The problem is after I turn the computer on it goes to a screen where you can choose safe mode or normal mode and stuff, and when you choose either of those before going to the log on screen, a blue screen flashes about dumping of physical memory and systemroot/system32/config/system being absent or corrupt, and then it just restarts. My notebook is contected to the network at my house, and I was wondering if there was a way I can access the files on my notebook from another computer that's connected to my network. Also, I can burn CDs on my other computer, but my floppy drive on my laptop is broken.

Have you tried to boot from your Windows XP CD, and fixing things from there?

You can use the REPAIR function on the CD and it might fix the problem.

If repairing does not work you can make a Network Boot CD or Floppy and boot the Laptop into the Network.
