Can you change the functionality of a mouse button?

I have a mouse with a left&right button, wheel, and two side buttons for going forward and backward on a browsers page. Those two extra forward backward buttons I would like to reprogram to "PrintScreen" and "Paste" . Does anyone know how to do this?

I do know that I can simply buy a gamers mouse and do it simply enough. But I don't want to spend the money.

Through some playing around I figured out that those two side buttons are short cuts to the "Alt+left arrow" and "Alt+right arrow".

 

That's great. Logitech has software called Setpoint that will allow you to program the keys. You will have to use the dropdown box for your OS.

Just a note: Ctrl+V is a key combination for Paste. Ctrl+C is copy.

 

Yes, but that is not Print Screen. My "prt sc" button is FN+Home button, and it does not recognize it. I need to use something else. But I did download and am currently using the program, it just doesn't recognize print screen.

 

The program does not let you customize key combinations in the "Other" category of "Select Task" ?

That's correct. I even used KeyTweak to change the prt sc to the Num0 button and it stopped recognizing the Num0 button. But it is easier using the Num0 button than it is to press FN+Home.


I'll try that in a little bit and post back with the results.
