can you network 2 computers on a dial up to be on line at the same time?

    I have 3 kids doing school on line but we only have a dial up can I network 2 computers to the internet so they can be on line at the same time?

    What OS's are you running?
    Have you tried ICS?

    Yes you can, but you need to have your network using ethernet cabling.
    Its a matter of setting up one computer to have ICS <internet connection sharing> and the other conencting to that computer via your network to access the internet/
    I'd Suggest googling ICS tutorials for your OS

    In terms of hardware, you need two Ethernet NICs and a "crossover cable" (as opposed to a patch cable) to network just 2 PCs, if you have more than 2 then you need a hub or repeater, and attach all machines to that using a patch cable.
