Cannot access my programmes

    I had to carry out a complete re-install of Windows XP, the repair option did not work.
    XP now works fine but I cannot access any of my other programmes, such as Microsoft Office, although I can see them if I use Windows Explorer.
    How can I re-set access to all my other programmes without re-installing them as well?
