Cannot access some folders over network

I have two computers running Windows XP Pro and both have the hard drives shared.

On one computer I can open the C drive on the other and access all folders.

When I try the other way around, I cannot open the "Windows, ProgramFiles or the User Folder in Documents and settings". I can open all other folders.

Is this a Windows update thing and if so, how can I overcome this problem.
