Cannot change homepage

    I cannot change my homepage...its stuck on dell's homepage. I've went into internet properties, changed it there, it goes right back. I've went into the registery HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main and tried to change the start page and I get: Cannot edit Start Page: Error writing the value's new contents. Computer appears to be free of spyware and viruses...any ideas?
